New PC-Based Electronic Fuel Tank Control Allows Custom Level Control

Situation: A customer needed to replace a mechanical control that maintained the level of diesel fuel in an inside day-tank. Beyond standard production, some units with custom levels Electronic Controlwould be ordered.

Solution: MEC designed an electronic control with a simple front panel gage, alarm indicators, and fail-safe over-fill protection. We accompanied the design with a PC-based program that lets production staff select custom levels and automatically regenerate the software. The project involved the custom package design, electronics design and software design.

Results: The control has a good record in the field.
