Microprocessor Design Helps Customer Increase Market Share and Improve Reliability

Situation: A customer wanted to move a product from an analog design to a microprocessor-based unit with more features, greater flexibility, and lower manufacturing costs.

Solution: MEC worked with the customer to design a micro-based unit that cut costs and expanded the product feature list. Bench testing showed the new design also significantly boosted reliability.

Results: The new design helped the customer increase market share and improve field reliability. This product is now undergoing development on its fourth generation revision, aiming for further gains in market share and acceptance.
